The sun is out. Oregonians everywhere are assembling to resolve their vitamin D deficiencies. If you want to join them, Portland's Sunday Parkways is ready for you. For five Sundays each summer, different parts of Portland close off a few streets.
Out come the people of all fantastic shapes, sizes, and ages. Some walk, some ride bikes, some hula-hoop, but all are active. They have free reign over the streets, and if they get tired of moving they join into one of the many activities available such as group yoga or live music. Delicious smells fill the air, and the crown city of food carts shows its colors. The best part, however, is simply the people getting together as a community.
